PLAYOFF TROPHY VISITS

Last week we visited five local primary schools with the EFL Playoff Trophy that Morecambe lifted at Wembley last season. Moorside Primary, Skerton St Luke’s, Slyne with Hest, Overton St Helen’s and Trumacar got this unique opportunity.

The shining piece of silverware was taken to each of the schools. All of the children got the opportunity to see it in person and have class photographs next to it. As a community we value the importance of moments like this. Most children haven’t seen a trophy quiet so special so it was great to see lots of smiley faces.

Morecambe have been performing at a high level on the pitch. Therefore, the trophy visit was a great opportunity to spread some footballing fever. Whilst also encouraging more children and young adults to watch Morecambe with their families on a matchday. We have always been regarded as a great community club. Next season we look forward to a range of events which will aim at making it as enjoyable for the supporters as possible.

Once again, we thank each of the schools for allowing the trophy visits. It was great to give something back to those that we have worked alongside for many years.
